Patricia joined Miller Sturt Kenyon in September 2018 and is an experienced Benelux and EU Trade Mark & Design Attorney.
Patricia obtained her law degree at the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 1995 and an LLM in Intellectual Property at the University of Brussels (Belgium) in 2003. She also followed law school at the Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany) during a student exchange programme.
Patricia started her career as a general legal practitioner at the Brussels Bar in Belgium. She soon specialised in intellectual property law, in particular trade mark prosecution and oppositions, within the UK law firm Linklaters in Brussels. In 2003, she followed an intensive training programme at the EUIPO in Alicante, Spain.
After that, she served more than ten years as a trade mark & design attorney at Kirkpatrick, a leading trade mark agent in Belgium, where she handled a wide variety of primarily trade mark and design matters, including searches, strategic advice, management of worldwide portfolios and oppositions.
Patricia is based in Belgium. She speaks Dutch, French and English and has knowledge of German, Italian and Spanish.
