Karen joined Miller Sturt Kenyon in 1995 and is responsible for the day to day running of the formalities department.

The department handles filings of patents, designs and trade mark filings, both in the UK and overseas.  The department is also responsible for updating and maintaining electronic records sytems to ensure all deadlines are properly actioned, and for sending our clients official notices and publications from intellectual property offices around the world.  In addition, the department handles the maintenance and renewal of our clients’ IP rights.

Karen gained the CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration in 2008 and regularly attends seminars and Intellectual Property Administrators Group conferences.

Previously, Karen was responsible for the UK, EP and foreign filing portfolio of Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), working at their head office patent department.
